This is a very personal story…our journey from the time our son was injured in a car wreck in Nashville,TN.to his death at Vanderbilt Hospital. It is a journey of how I came to discover the true meaning of brain death, organ donation and six days in a trauma unit.

Although there are far more doctors qualified to speak on brain death and organ donation; our story, (though far from unique) will give you a bird’s eye view of what it was like to live with the diagnosis. We live in a fast world where people Click, Like, Tweet, Friend, scan quickly and move on.
Not only have I learned what true death is verse “brain death” but my view of life and the world beyond has been also been drastically changed. I now understand that life on earth is short, a vapor. But real life… only a breath away… lasts for eternity.
